I had a long phone visit with Ron today; need a fresh water/grey/black systems monitor. Turns out he is well (not what we heard a few months ago on this board) and is feeling pretty good.

He is overwhelmed by the amount of business he has in a Gasket making company he has...Spencer Iowa...and no one to assist. That's good I suppose, in today's news. He says Spencer has many out of work, but no one wants to give up the unemployment checks. Apparently Spencer lost a lot of industry in recent months.

BUT...in OUR interest...he has 100,000 square feet of surplus RV stuff. I have purchased from him for years and have never been disappointed. This is not a commercial for them,...and I recommended to him an ad on this forum, but for newer bus nuts, perhaps you have not heard of them....a great source for most anything for the coach.

Ian, he apparently just does not have the time to devote to "advertising"...might give him a call.
A nice guy and willing to help if he can. I truly believe he is a great "prospect".

Meantime, the systems monitor is "in the mail"...:-)

I've purchased a fair bit of stuff from Ron the Busnut. I live close enough I can make the drive out there to look around. The stuff is fairly disorganized especially his one warehouse that mostly has Spartan parts.

It is good the hear that his gasket business is doing well. Last I heard the gasket business wasn't doing so hot especially as cars have gotten more reliable over the years. One thing he has done is to purchase a lot of gaskets from other companies that have excess stock or went under. He has a rented pole barn full of mostly gasket and a few RV parts.

Great guy. This reminds me I should call him about some parts.
