what oil do you guys run in your manual trannys?
And how much does the spicer 8844-a hold?

Use the same two-stroke oil that your 8V71 uses, except it's SAE 30,not the 40wt that the engine uses. My books are not handy, but I think it's 4 gallon. I spend all of my time in warm climates, so I use the 40wt. for both, year 'round. ...JJ

I appreciate your reponse. Putting the engine and tranny back in the bus saturday and want to fill the transmission before I do. Much easier to do out of the bus.

i dont have the spicer anymore(wish i did) but i used 30 wt oil in it and 40 in the engine as recomendedin my books
