I am looking at seat coaches to convert. What is the tallest interior height. I know prevost and eagle made entertainer shells. I am thinking about a 102c3. I want the tallest interior height in a seat coach? Thoughts? I am looking in the 88-92 range. Thanks. |

Jvicars4, I saw some specs on the net on the Mfg website. I was hoping someone was going to ring in on this one as my next question was going to be "How much can a person raise a roof"? I have seen and read about people doing eight inch lifts on the roof section and putting roof air units on top of that. If a person were to use a basement A/C unit, how tall could you go? Normal lift 8 inches (is there such a thing as normal.) Roof air 18 inches (estimated) -------------------- Total lift 26 inches (?) What safe ? Cheers Curtis |

The answer to your question is probably to a total height of 13'6". That is the maximum in several states. Some allow 14' or more but you would want to stay within the 13'6". I think the reason most do 8" raises is that that amount gives them plenty of headroom. I do know some tall guys that raised theirs 10". Joe |

That make perfect sence! So much depends on the unit configuration i.e. How it was mfg. in the first place. But max lift would be the maxumum heigth allowed by the State with the lowest maxumum height requirement (which is 13'6"). One would not want to ripe the top off their rig at 1:30 AM going under the Vidock (spelling ?) in Poedunk, USA I have chills just thinking about it! Cheers Curtis |

The 13.6 is ONLY guarenteed IF, you follow the "truck route" in towns. Depending on the coach hight & the age of the town , you may have to by pass it & come back to visit in a towd or rent a car. 13.6 is fine on the slab , but everywhere else its the old truck route, or GREAT care!! FAST FRED |

jvicars4, I believe you will find that many seated coaches share the same interior height of 76". I raised the roof on an '84 Prevost Le Mirage XL by 9" and the exterior roof height is still only 138" (10' 6"), with nothing on the roof, so I think you would really have to get carried away to even approach 13'6" unless you want a double decker. I am useing basement A/C so the only extra roof height will be 3" or so for roof vents and whatever the refrigerator vent takes. |

Jason, If you measure in the center (side to side), front and rear would satisfy my curiosity. Thanks, Sam |
