I was sixteen miles from Las Vegas when my engine cooling fan drive belt came a part. A roadside repair and a little luck got me into Vegas, using an old standby belt. Not something I want to use for the rest of my trip back to Oregon. So anyone got a 110"/111" 8C-27-5/8B-27-2 gearbox belt or can point me to a source local in Vegas. Bus is a 1965 MC5A with a 6v92. The only dimenison I have is for an 8v71 in a MC5A. I can't call Luke until Monday if he's open to be sure if the belts are interchangeable.
Thanks
Tom

There are 4 Napa stores in vegas surely one of them is a napa truck parts. I have a mci8 when I broke a belt in Indy they had one to fit. Out of 4 stores they should have one or get you one overnight.

Tom, if you have the original pulley with the spring, i believe that it takes the 110" belt. If you have the solid pulley it takes the 111" belt. Double check with Luke on that.

Ed thanks for the info, I remembered your input on that thread about the belt tensioner. I'll call Luke tomorrow.

Cory, also thanks for the info, about four years ago I had a belt slipping on my 5A while on the road in Montana. I found a Diesel shop in Calispell and they located a replacement belt at a Napa. The belt worked great for the rest of that trip, but has required repeated manual tensioning since. I've heard on this board that MCI belts are superior to pretty much anything else. So that was my first choice. Honestly, I had forgotten about them and I'm glad you reminded me.
Thx Tom
