102C3 seated coach with factory Rest Room-
Anyone know how to "Charge" the toilet after emptying it's tank? Its like a porta potty.....I assume that you mix up some blue chemical and a few gallons of water to go back in it after emptying it, but its not like my RV toilet setup in my other coach. Anyone know the details with this?

Hey Chuck!

My MC9 didn't have a conventional fitting to utilize the usual
RV hose and devices to dump in the usual RV manner...

Before you fill anything, make sure you're going to be able to
empty it where you want to empty it.

Thetford makes a good fume-killer. And an old garden hose to
add a gallon or so of water, is all you'll need. And... fill the
reserve tank, too. Although it's used for the sink, some buses
had a neat sprayer under the seat also, to clean the skid marks.

If someone has not already done so, remove the factory holding tank water fill and replace it with a common garden hose female fitting. Then hook up your hose and fill the tank to sight glass level. Add a chemical packet and you are good to go (or liquid chemical). Or, you could simply run a garden hose through the window and fill it that way.

Forgot to add to the above post that it is much advisable to keep the lavatory exhaust fan operable in order to evacuate the holding tank odors. It runs full time when the coach electrical is on, so routine motor brush replacement is part of coach maintenance. Do not have the fan on when filling the tank, as it is possible to suck water into the fan motor. Just a tip.
