Can someone give me the interior dimensions of a MC9? I know it depends on the amount if insulation and so on, but what can one normally figure on for usable floorspace? |

just looked at one last week it was 37'9"long inside(subtract 4' for drivers seat) 91"wide I think I measured it at window height also there is a engine platform in the rear that runs the width of the bus 12"high by 27"deep ceiling height was 6'6"at the center three bays underneath 37"high by 60"wide It is good to see another person in the same stage that I am in I hope this helps Pat |

Thanks Pat! Exactly what I was looking for. Any luck on finding a good bus to work with? Have you heard anything about the MC9's ABC has? Mark |

Hey Mark: Call Mark Rosenthal at ABC Bus in New Jresey. He is the person in charge of this whole NJTransit bus sale. A very nice, knowledgable fella. Anyway here's the short version, NJTransit is selling off their entire fleet over the next 4 years-100+ 1989 Eagle model 20's and 1100+ 1983-84 MCI MC9's. The Eagles are the first to go, they don't fit the rest of the fleet. The MC9's are starting to come on line now/March. All coaches are used as commuter buses, shutteling workers from suburbia to the city and back. Rigorous state subsidized maintenance program and indoor overnight parking. Some of these coaches have never had so much as a briefcase in the bag bays. Well, so much for the short version, call Mark- good guy. Bill. |

Thanks! I am trying to get as much info about those MC-9's as I can. I hope to head over there this spring or summer and pick up one of those units. |
