Isn't it time to start using a Captcha in the registration for the BNO Classifieds? |

Not with Eagle eyes out there watching over me (or in your case GMC 4103 eyes) :-) The version I purchased in 2008 doesn't have security available to it. I'd have to purchase an upgrade license for it. Not worth it for as little trouble it causes. I haven't been hacked by a computer, by the way. This was a live person filling in fields properly in order to put their bogus ad up. I'm sure captcha wouldn't have helped. Tripping the offender up quickly will often deter them. I suspend their account so they have to go to the trouble of re-registering. I appreciate you (and a few dozen others) looking out for the site for nuisance hacks like that. It's easy to get rid of them and I do take a look for those things every day. Thank you. Ian www.busnut.com |

Ian; Since you do so much for us,maybe we can return the favor by helping YOU purchase what is needed to aid in this TOP NOTCH WEB SITE. I don't want to offend by asking this but it would only be fair to you. Let us know what is needed and the cost of it and let US go from there. How Bout it BUS NUTS, CAN WE DO THIS? Gomer |

Hi Gomer, I appreciate it, really. Thank you. The upgrade isn't the problem. After upgrading, I would have to customize the templates again - a task that took several days the first time. By customizing, I mean making and placing the additional tabs in the right place (like the "BNO BBS" tab in the middle of every page that sends a viewer to this bulletin board). It's more trouble than it's worth for such an insignificant problem. This site operates in the black, no problems. I am working on a couple of other things in my spare time, though. Yeah, what spare time? Rather than money, may I kindly ask that you send me a couple of spare hours, if you're not using them? I promise to return them as soon as I'm through with them. :-) Ian www.busnut.com |

Re: "This site operates in the black, no problems." In the black? You told me you were operating in the dark... I could do a picture of you next to your bus, stripping to your Speedos and post it on YouTube, if that'd help? Mbbe with a PayPal button? Just say the word, boss. |
