Gus, Yes it will. But... Remember that your oil filter on the 4103-4104 is horizontal. If you are one of those that likes to fill the filter before installing, (Like me), it ain't gonna happen. A remote mounted might be a better option for us. |

Yeah, these people who design horizontal filters should be required to change one every day! |

Yeah, these people who design horizontal filters should be required to change one every day! On the 6-71 in our boat the old style filter is mounted "upside down" , talk about words for DR Detroit on a hot oil change!! FF |

My plan is to go to a Luberfiner 750 or similar remote mount and do away with the can filter on the engine all together. Or maybe I'll put a Franz filter on. I know they work, cause it says so in the ad! Actually, my step dad had a Franz filter on a 1948 Chevy 3/4 ton the old Babbet rod engine lasted at least 25 years, compared to the other similar engines we had in different equipment, about 5 times as long before overhaul. |

Well Dallas, I hope you understand why the engine companies don't use THAT filter. |

Well, I'm not really kidding. I believe that the modern automotive engineer's job is to carefully engineer today's machines so all components wear out and the car actually disintegrates into dust just after the last payment is made. Oh, and to craft cars where you can get only two of these three things, your hands, your eyes or light into the area you need to reach! |

You forgot the part of automotive engineering that says "Every Mechanic must have a universal flex joint installed at the midway point between the elbow and the wrist"! |

Ah, that has been my problem. I am a 50s model. I think the 80s mechanics have those. At least I think they MUST have 'em. |

Guess they are failing miserably . The 40's cars would get to 100,000 and be pretty shot.60's 50% longer. Todays cars seem to operate 2X to 3X that mileage , IF the body stays intact . FF |
