Man, does this deal smell or what! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2404004978&category=6728 After seeing this I hate to call myself a Texan! This hope this is just one of those slimy carpet baggers selling land shares and not a true Texan. Cheers Curtis |

No, probably a true Money Grubbing Texan. However, could be a good enterprise for the future but may be a bit ahead of it's time. Was bound to come along when u consider all the time shares sold on real estate that is worth less than the price of any of the top end coaches. Also consider all the potential buyers that really have no need for full time ownership of these things. I did notice the omission of two important details: Who supplies the 30 year old blond "daughter" that goes with high end Prevos and who provides the clean sheets? |

This is not good.4 times 3=12. That is 10,000$ per week. That is very expensive. You walk away with nothing and the owner pockets over 1/2 million in proffit. You can rent a very nice motor home for less than that and you get it when you want it,not when someone tells you it is your turn. For 120,000$ you can buy one nice bus conversion. I believe I will pass this one up. |

Wow! I sent the seller this message: "You guys are basically offering to let someone rent a Prevost for $10 grand a week, for 12 weeks... boy I though I'd seen it all but you are wacko!!" Geez, for just a few weeks worth of that kind of money I could (well, have...) build a really nice bus that I can even keep!!! People are crazed these days....the sad part is that there are people dumb and rich enough to actually go for it... |

Hmmm, I got a reply from the guy. Besides letting me know in no uncertain terms that I am arrogant and rude (me? ), he wrote the following.... .......... "... Value is in the eye of the beholder! If you want to look at it in rental terms, what toy can you rent (or house, plane, yacht or whatever!) that costs a MILLION DOLLARS, for less than $10k a week? A $125k Ferrari cost you $2,000 a day to rent in any city in the U.S. A suite at a hotel cost you as much as $10k a DAY. You see, it's FIRST CLASS TRAVEL in a MILLION DOLLAR COACH and given that a single first class ticket cost more than our coach costs on a daily basis, it's cheap when you can take your entire family. In terms of buying one and using it 3 weeks a year, and having it parked the other 49 weeks a year (which makes maintenance on them expensive since they aren't made to sit unused!), you can see what it cost the average owner to purchase a new one and sell it 4 years later. These depreciate at a high rate! Our client base are those that typically buy one, but don't want their capital and time tied up in one. This program isn't for the average 95% of the population that don't have that sort of income. You would have had to purchase a new one, own it for 4 years, and then sell it to a dealer to appreciate that you can save over 80% of the cost of buying. This concept has been very popular in the aviation industry and is why most people don't purchase jets anymore, but are in a fractional ownership program. I'm sorry you are offended by our program and our price structure, and regret you can't see the value-added service that we provide to our clients. I've been a coach owner starting in 1999, when I owned an Investment Banking Firm and understand the enormous cost of ownership verses our program. I can assure you that pro-athletes, celebrities and others wouldn't be interested in our program if it weren't such a great value. In closing, you can't rent a Prevost Coach anywhere in the U.S. I know, as I was the only one that had such a company at one time, before starting this company. .......... Well guys, yup it makes sense. Henry, lets you and I scrap our Crowns and buy into this...Just think, it's all done and all we have to do is jump in and drive somewhere! No worrying about batteries, propane, how to insulate, if our turbos are working, etc...and even better, we don't even have to figure out where to park it when we're done with our 3 weeks.... Anyone else interested? It only takes 12 of us!! Cheers Gary |

"I can assure you that pro-athletes, celebrities and others wouldn't be interested in our program if it weren't such a great value." For one, the groups ”he says” he caters to have never been known for their intellect, but their ability to perform (ops, didn’t Howard Costello got in trouble for saying something like that ). Gary, he was playing nice with you. I received a copy of an email he sent someone else that was very mean spirited. “Truth be known, your probably some deadbeat in life that can't afford to rub two pennies together, much less afford to fall in the millionaire class such as myself, my celebrity and pro clients.” I feel sorry for anyone who gets sucked in on an expensive time-share disguised as "FRACTIONAL OWNERSHIP". That would be a very hard lesson in economics to say the least. Someone in the Dallas area should pay this guy a visit to see how a distorted, self-proclaimed millionaire runs a mobile time-share business. Just think you may be lucky enough to see a celebrity in the process airing up bus tires or cleaning window Cheers Curtis |

Just remember, Bill Gates makes $250. per second. The money verses hassle equation can look different from that perspective. If they give what they say they give and the deal is scam free, it's the buyer's choice. I personally can't justify paying for valet parking, so I probably will not go for this one either. |

The guy gives a good sales pitch if he wants to, but I think there might be some holes in his story. IMHO most people that could afford this extravagance could just as well afford to own it outright and would probably do so just for the symbolic weight of owning one. Imagine the humility that Bill Gates would suffer when Warren Buffett found that Poor Bill only had a time share Prevo. And imagine this silver tongue devil in Dallas telling Bill Gates that he can't have it in August because some clown from NASCAR has it that month. Besides, u would never get the blond Prevo daughter if she found out u were only renting the damn thing. |

If you are buying a "fractional ownership" how come you don't get a share of the money when the contract ends in 4 years and presumably the bus is sold? With this guy's plan you end up with nothing after 4 years, just like a lease. --Geoff '82 RTS CA (pay as you go) |

I think Jmaxwell hit the nail on the head. The biggest flaw in the deal (financial prudency aside) is that if you can afford to do this partial ownership thing, then you ought to just buy a customized coach oughtright. Cause you don't get no bragging rights when it is just a rental. If I were going to spend that much on a rental (charter) I'd want a full-time driver too (with his own accomondations elsewhere). Just like a chartered yacht, it should come with a crew. Scott |

I think all of you make good points. I for one am having as much fun PLANNING and DOING my conversion thing as much (if not more?) than actually using a million buck coach part time. Gary S. is almost correct. Sorry Gary. I do not plan on scrapping my '74 Crown. No way. Neither will you. He he he. I know it is probably not the best choice for a conversion... ...but I do not care. Bus fever affects people in different ways. My affliction has me smiling and joking (at sometimes to the chagrin of my family) and has me totally engaged in something... ...that sounds silly like Jake Brakes and Roadrangers, and hill climbing ability and top speed and fuel capacity and fuel mileage and....well, you get the idea. To be able for me to RENT a MILLION DOLLAR COACH (they really cost that much?) is NOT what I want to do. I want to have fun making something with my own hands... ...and enjoy doing the conversion. Besides, I am as poor as a church mouse and can not comprehend someone having as much $bread$ as it would take to co-own something I would not like having. I have learned very much from this board. I also appreciate having the freedom and opportunity to do what I WANT with my own conversion dreams. Thanks to all. Have a nice day and.....CROWNS FOREVER!!! He he he. Henry of CJ. |

The big users of FO are the small companies that need the occasional use of a small aircraft. The 5 to 16 pax jets can be FO for a reasonable cost , if the use is compared to a bunch of first class tickets .Convienance is excellent! The loss of time from the Vegtables , (now FED Vegtables) that "check " folks at the airport is responsable for the huge growth in this industry. Yacht, FO also seems to be getting more common, as folks have limited vacation time ,and very little for maint ect. The only advantage that MIGHT exist in a coach , is at least the coach will be serviced by "Da Book" , instead of by dreams. FAST FRED |
