hey all, great site. the archives have proved valuable to me already. ive been converting a 1960 gillig 501 for a few years now and have just recently stuffed in a 3208 cat with allison 6spd. i made the mistake of thinking a 12v cooling fan system would be addequate {long before reading the archives here} and am now trying to figure out how to make the belt system work or installing a hydraulic system. more on that later. anyways just wanted to say hello and that im thankful to have found your site.

Welcome Grant, of all the boards I monitor about this "bus illness", this is far and away the best and brightest. Glad to have you aboard and a nice looking bus too.

Hi Grant,

It's great to see you on our bbs! Welcome aboard, as is typically said here, refers to the fact that we all understand the symptoms of the sickness we share with you!

It would be a dis-service to you not to let you know that there is at least one other large place you can also play, at our "friendly competition" at www.busconversions.com. You'll see some of the same faces as here but a bit of a different flavor over there. If you need to have something in print, they have a great magazine you'll be interested in, too.

We sincerely hope you can be a regular fixture here, as we'd all love to be kept up to date on your Gillig conversion and specifically that stuffed engine :-)

We all respond to pictures very well, too, so please don't hesitate to post anything that you find interesting. If you need help with pictures, please do let me know.

Thanks for joining the family... weird as we are!

Enjoy :~)

Ian

PS. Mr. Tesser, sir, thank you for your most kind words which always fall on significantly appreciative ears!
