Kris - Apology accepted. The MC-7 is a good old workhorse. You must have a late production model, as most 7s came with manual gearboxes. (Unless a previous owner changed it over.) As a tip, when driving in the mountains, shift the AT manually - you'll get a little better performance out of the powertrain that way. Seems the automatic downshift occurs so far down the rpm range that even in the next lower gear you're already out of the power curve, so the speed falls off even more. (Send me a private email for a copy of my article on shifting buses.) 20 mph in the Rockies? I-70 over and thru the Eisenhower Tunnel? I'm glad to hear the munchkins loved camping in the bus. What a great adventure for them, and great memories when they get older, too! This (and the other bbs's) is a good source of info, tips, tricks, and sometimes humor. Lots of info can be gleaned from those of us in the various stages of our coach's life-cycle. Onward, then. . . RJ PD4106-2784 |
