Wow, the trend has caught on quick. For $3k per week of use, I think they need to glitz the interior a little bit. I wonder if these deals include road service? And, I wonder what they will do about their contract holders when 1 of the fractional owners decides not to return it on time, or better yet, not at all (it's bound to happen, ask Hertz).

I believe 750 times 52 comes to 39,000$. This comes to 13,000$ per week of use. Surely no one is that crazy. For that kind of money or less I will furnish the bus and even a driver. I would even buy the fuel. Any takers?

This is for those who want the prestige of the coach but either can't or won't put one in storage or buy it outright. I have heard of companies that buy into things like this to use as bonuses etc for employees. Personally I would rather have the full title in my hot little hand. The are folks out there that like "timeshare". Look at all the campgrounds and resorts that are strictly timeshare or sell sites that don't have a title and aren't really "yours".

Lorna: Very true about timeshares. This is probably something that eventually will go, but I think it is a little ahead of it's time; there are a lot of pitfalls with these relatively short life high end coaches with high maintenance costs. IMHO so many people (time share buyers and owners) will get stung in the process that it will probably die before it ever gets well established. Motor home renting is a dying business just because of those pitfalls, and that business has always shied away from anything that resembled anything more than basic junk.

I once was in the same truck stop as 'Private Coach' (One of this site's sponsors) and thought that it would be an excellent way to travel if I didn't love driving trucks and buses. Almost went over to talk but thought they didn't need to be seen with a guy with a 'quick & dirty' NJT 9.

Before one of those dummies who can afford to pay the $3000 per week for this bids on this ebay sale, I hope they consider how small it makes you feel when you first drive a large 'car', what it takes to prevent damages to the coach and the property of others, how it just ain't a ball so drivin' with a cocktail in hand don't pass muster, you're relying on some promoter for your safety, etc.

'Patty's Charm' seems like a great way for the rich to go. Professional driver, great insurance, etc. After seeing them, I thought 'Me and the wife taking a 'nap' across Mississipi' and figured it might even be better than driving it myself.

Maybe they should try selling '3 Weeks', NO WORRIES, NO 3 YEAR COMMITMENT, NO SWEAT, (One Week Also Available), professionally driven and hosted, etc on E-bay. At least they are bus people.
