Can someone please give me advice as to how to plumb the diesel tank inlet and outlet,to and from the gen set.
Do you drill the tank in two places? What do you use to pick up the fuel?I am using the main tank on my 4104, how far down should the pickup go? I,ve heard not as low as the engine pickup, how far is that? Any info woiuld be great.
Thanks
John

John
I took the line that goes to the whistle from the top of the tank and put a 1/2" "T" in the line right where the whistle comes off the top of the tank. In the centre of this "T" I put a 3/8" copper line that goes to about 4" off the bottom of the fuel tank to draw fuel for the generator. You do not want to go any deeper so that the generator will use all the fuel and leave you stranded. There is enough room for the air to get around the 3/8" line to activate the whistle when you are filling the tank. For the return line I put a "T" in the engine fuel return line. This does not affect the engine as it is just returning excess fuel to the tank. I would not recommend touching the fuel line that feeds fuel to the engine. Hope you can understand this. Bill
