Can anyone recomend a good buffing compound to use after the annodizing has been removed, but before you wax? A recomended wax would also be very helpful.
Thanks
John

You're really setting yourself up for alot of work. I have a bare aluminum airplane and the amount of work keeping alclad shiny is much less than with previously anodized aluminum that's been "polished off". Trying to serve pennance on Earth???

In answer to your question. You can use almost any type of polishing compound to remove the oxidation but you MUST use a carnuba wax that is pure wax without any cleaners.

Mother's polishing compound. Better idea is to take it to one of the Mexican border towns and do some negotiating with a body and paint shop.
