I may need a set of re-maned heads for my MCI 8V92TA. Does anybody know where I can get a set at a good price in the western U.S.?

Fred -

Don Fairchild may have a lead on some.

Clifford may jump in, too.

Pedco in Santa Fe Springs, CA

Delaney & Alf in Bakersfield, CA.

Those are a few ideas that come to mind.

FWIW & HTH. . .

:-)

I always repair my heads, then I know what I've got. Any decent diesel shop can pressure check and repair your heads as needed.

If you have cracked a head, I would then consider a recon unit, but many recon heads have had cracks welded and come with a 90 day warrantee...

You can buy a new, bare head from DD and reuse most or all of the small parts usually including the valves. At least you know what you have.

Can't imagine you ever needing to replace both heads at once, not much difference between a new one and a used one as long as they are not blowing water out the fill hole.
