Hey everybody, just met a new great couple, Dan and Pam from Iowa, trying to get home... Problem, no air to back air bags on a Spartan Chassis. Help!!!!!!!!!!! | ||

Where in TX.? There is a great RV repair shop here in Pipe Creek TX. 35 miles N.W. of San Antonio. There ph# 800-741-7038 (Class A RV Repairs) they are also mobile. | ||

Steve, I believe Spartan uses 2 height valves in front and 1 height valve in the rear(The opposite of most buses, Sean's excepted). So, carefully check the link between the valve and the chassis and see if it is still connected. Sometimes vibration can cause the connecting bolts to loosen and fall out. Bob | ||

What Bob said. This happened to me on my 06 (one valve got disconnected from the axle and she was leaning pretty good to the streetside). I now carry a long, slender, flexible rod that I can use to reach in there and "flick" that lever to air the bus up, thus allowing easier access to reconnect the valve arm and the vertical link to the axle. I used electrical vinyl ties to reconnect until I could make a better repair with an actual BOLT. (Another use for a wire tire.....the new DUCT TAPE???). | ||

Thanks for the help guys, we were able to get Bohanon Trucks, Tyler, Texas to come to the rescue... Dan and Pam are on their way to Iowa. Nice couple and I was glad I could help, along with our board members help. Hope the rest of their trip goes well... Spanky ps I beleive they will be joining us here @ bus nuts on line! | ||
