And with that heading, I begin to wind down my bus-related activities.

It's been a helluva ride over the last 30 years, but things change.

No, I am not physically ill, my health is fine.

I may pop in now and then, maybe. . .

I may post some "bus stuff" in the classifieds, Craigslist or eBay in order to clear out the closets & storage. . .

I may show up at a rally, or I may not, haven't decided.

I'll still be reachable, as I won't be turning off my profile.

Busnuts traveling thru Fresno will always be welcome to stop & share war stories over a Pepsi.

And so it goes, my tag line:

FWIW & HTH. . .

well, RJ, its been a blast.

please stop in from time to time. you have that old school experience thats slowly disappearing, but is so sorley needed in this industry these days, it seems.

and just as a drummer who sells his drums will still forever be tapping his fingers, no matter where life takes you, youll always be taking that second glance at every coach that passes you on the freeway.

nest time im down in fresno, ill call you for a pepsi.

cheers

RJ You can't do this, You are too old to quit now, lol, and now is the time to settle back and leave the driving to someone else. There are times we all will face this and I hope that all goes well with you and the wife. You better stay chimed in with us and keep Chessie and me straight. I appreciate all you have and will do for fellow bus nuts. Thanks To You RJ!!

I for one will truely miss your presence around here. As a fairly young bus owner I know enough to know the people I should listen to and I count you in that group. All the best and check in every once in a while

Hey RJ? How about A 1970'S Ward Traveler with a 8v71 and reverse pattern 4-speed?? Nice layout too.

RJ, if this is not a joke, I just have one question......how the hell do you get buses out of your system, I've been trying for decades LOL. We need the GM gurus like you around here. By the way, where can I get a copy of the U.S. GM production records if you don't mind helping me before your last trip? Best of luck.

NO WAY! we need a historian or three and your one of the reasons i love this board. and Kyle, a drummer selling his drums! I still have my Rogers set i saved 2 years for, back when i was in high school. I kept hoping they wouldent be sold, and i still play with the bluegrass band once a month.

Thanx, RJ...we needed that!

Now, if Ian will join in that he is "no longer in business", I'm quite sure we will all settle back...wait for tomorrow, and have a great Spring.

If, on the other hand it is as you say....well,what can I say? :-(

No, I do not miss Fresno....BTDT!...1.5 years :-)

I am new here but have been reading for a long time. I listen to you RJ and hope that it's not true because of all the great info you give out, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. So if so,good luck and if not - Nice job dude.

Yep, Ian...I 'member that!

Ever been to the San Juaquin Valley of CA?... It is one BIG place...lots of FOG, traffic, produce, grapes, fertilizers, ethnicities (as I recall, the Fresno School District had 17 languages to deal with....that was in the late 80's and early 90's), strange air to breathe, pavement, smogged skies, and on and on.

Having said all that, I am happy I got to see it and experience the beauty and vastness of Yosemite, Sequoia, the Delta, the people and the fantastic food (most for the $$ that I have ever experienced!- biggest bang for the buck,= ie Blueberry Hill and many, many more)........

Yes...glad I had the experience, but.....

:-)

My personal best to RJL! He was (is) one of the stalwarts in my "bussin' history".

Chuck,

I agree. There's none better. 1,696 messages of "happy to help" and "for what it's worth".

If only it wasn't signed on April 1.

Hmmm...

RJ judging by the accolades given to you by the members here both new and old, I will surmises that my experience here will be diminished by your absence from this board. I am glad I was able to make you laugh with my referring to a DD as a giant weed whacker. My very best regards to you sir. JM
