And look at the post mark. This was just a few months before the stock market crash in '29 so the economy was booming then and people had money. I bet a year or two later prices were even lower but by then most people had very little money even if they were lucky enough to have a job. Kinda sounds like today except the prices haven't dropped. |

Ian I am sure that the Ford enthusiast club (if there is such a thing) would appreciate this preserved piece of motor history as well, after all it was Henry's dream that shaped this great country of ours. thank you for the time travel I really enjoyed it. |

Guess that depends on one's perspective....quality of life??...lifestyle???...homeland???...upbringing??? Ask an Eskimo if it is "worth living in...." or ask an Aborigine if it is "worth living in ....." Happy Easter!! RCB |

found this info.... how would you like this wage to live on then. At this, those prices aren't so cheap http://www.jstor.org/pss/2765889 Inflation is necessary. How else can you be able to tell your children that bread was only 10,15,25,50 cents per loaf. Now, $1.50 seems cheap to them for basic bread. |

"Inflation is necessary." Inflation is only necessary for corrupt politicians that have no intention of repaying their debts. If someone put $100 under their pillow in 1805 and went to sleep till 1905 , it would only have taken $60 in 1905 to purchase what $100 would in 1805. The efficiencies of manufacturing ,transportation and productivity over a century would all have been captured by the individual citizen , not seized by the gov via inflation. FF |
