So Eagle Nuts: What is the latest and greatest news from this "upstart"?

It has been alomst a year since they left TX. Website has not been updated in pratically the same time.

They do not advertise in any of the trade magazines.

There are no photos of anything recent and no completed photos of the Classic they were building.

Press releases claimed 500 jobs within a year or so.......but the employment agency they are using says they have not filled one single job in the last year (approx)

I am not the only one asking, I see on the Eagle Nuts board someone asked a few months ago with no good answers

DISCLAIMER: This is not an attack on Silver Eagle Bus manufacturing, nor the Eagle Bus Brand. Just an honest inquiry

I have no idea what is going on, but I am sure the overall downturn in the economy has hit them just like it has almost every other business. Jack

The way my freinds at Daimler Tuck N America (DTNA) were talking, the whole Big Bus Industry is deep in the sewer & Setra was right there amngst it. Not much moving from any brand.

I spoke to Craig 3 or 4 weeks ago. He is reluctant to mention anything publicly about what he is doing due to so many naysayers that like to slam them and call them a scam. So they are keeping quiet and going about the business of rebuilding the company. They are working on some rather large orders on a positive note. No one knows what a massive undertaking they have taken on, or the huge investments made already. Don't count them out, they'll be back.

Mark, I have not had the privilege of talking with Craig. Thank you for posting your experience with him. I wish them the best as I'm sure I'll be needing parts down the road.

It must be rather difficult to undertake the monumental task he has taken on, given the state of the economy and so many negative folk out there.

I applaud his efforts!
