Hello again,

This time looking for a list of items required to rebuild a 6V92TA MUI?

Like to do it myself if possible. (Have lots of time)

Thanks in advance. PS my engine swap manual to auto went well BTW Thanks for the replies!

Your looking for a rebuild kit. Call your local DD dealer for a price.

You can see an aftermarket rebuild kit that sells for $1740,(pistons, liners, gaskets and bearings) at dieselpro.com.

You can do most of the work yourself, but you will need some specialty tools to align the blower, time the injectors, etc. I put things togather and call out the DD mechanic for the tricky stuff.

Your putting alot of money into old technology. Personally I would look for used first and consider changing to an inline engine if I had a decent budget.

If you don't have water in the oil, you probably won't notice alot of difference from worn out to rebuilt. I run them until they puke unless they need something like an injector changed.
