The more I look at my coach, the more I think I'd like the shift lever on the left side. Has anyone done that? What's involved? What are the pro's and con's? Any help would be appreciated.

Dale I was going to move mine to the left and the cable is not quite long enough. I take it you do have automatic.

Ho, Dale,

I installed my shifter system for my 10spd RoadRanger transmission on the left side of my Eagle -01. Works great.

Hello Bob;

You ARE kidding aren't you? I have trouble talking to myself while shifting my RTO-910 right handed while driving.

Can NOT imagine shifting "Limmy Fashion" and would NEVER attempt driving in merry old England. Would crash big time.

But...then I am left handed which MAY explain why I can't do a whole lot of things. Thanks and ROAD RANGERS FOREVER!!

How about a Stone Bennet electric rig?
Check the Coach Conversion Central web site for information on these. There is just a small control pad you can mount anywhere you want.

I've seen plenty of buses with the shifter on the left (all slushpumps)--I'd think all you'd need would be someplace to put the shifter, a longer cable & some ingenuity.

I put a shifter on a Morse cable on the left side to shift an automatic and it worked well. As to the comment on the park brake control. I put that in the middle of the dash. My wife knew that was her 'Panic Control' if she saw me slump over the steering wheel. The theory being that you at least get it slowed down some before it runs off the road.
