Chris! The ac coil will slid out of a slot after you unhook the lines and hold down bolts. You may have to cut the bolts as they have been in a long time, however they will release the coil and I even had to take the unit with a come a long but it came out. I pulled the heater core out of one and had a fit with it also, but prying and tugging it finally came out too. gomer |

Tom On my 04 when I took the heater out from below, the lines to the heater were plugged and that allowed the main lines to supply the defroster heater core. There is valves in the rear and I turned them on and checked everything and all was well there. You also have a control in the dash for the core and it may be off or stuck in the off position check it out too. Let me know what is up. Gomer |

Chris It won't take but a little while to take the thing out. the hardest part maybe finding the clamps/bolts if they are still there. The 04 is a 1957 and I hope these will come thru. Yes it has front and rear RM caps, and tailgate. The front lights was a special order at the time and looks great. I think LOL Gomer |

gomer , mine is a 1954(#1214),but somehow was titled as a 57 when it was taken out of service many many moons ago. i,too have front and reaar r&m caps. the tailgate is my next purchase. i have been toungelashed by some for "ruining" the look of the classic line by adding the front and rear caps.....beauty is in the eye of the beholder i suppose, kinda like women.....some like em big at the bottom, big at the top,or both! lol |
