Hi folks, Sorry to be the bearer of sad tidings, but the free facebook-like network is going to start charging for its services in July, so I have decided to close the site shortly, and restart it as a group on the real Facebook. Please stay tuned for further announcements about the switch. This free service was based on the "Ning" network. I just received an email saying that they are going to drop their free services in July and start charging. Figures - just why not rain on our parade, why dontcha?! DieselChat and BNO BBS are both a bought and paid for service complete with technical support (that's why they work as well as they do, though the BBS is getting a little dated and I'm looking at that as well) (but I digress). As long as the premier social page, Facebook, is as popular as it is, I have decided to take this network and start playing there. There are innumerable good reasons to go there anyway. You will be able to link your personal Facebook profile to the new BNO Facebook Page, you can invite any Facebook friends to us, and you will have every Facebook feature on our own fan page. Hang in there folks. I intend to fix up a page on Facebook as soon as I can and make sure I invite everyone here to the new page. If you have any questions or concerns (or ideas, even) please ask directly on this thread. ...would some cash contributions from the users of this service or all the other features of BNO help boss ? would you accept them ? how or where do we send them ? ~perhaps you could afford that bus to convert others claim you don't have, if only you didn't spend your disposable income keeping the site paid up. Seems only fair to allow us a way to pay our fare on this great bus ride boss nut, at least enough to cover the fuel cost, as I have bitched on & on before; least the journey only last as long as the operator. | ||

Clint, I also would be up to the task of becoming a member of BUS NUTS OF AMERICA and have a fee to contribute for the cause. This is the only way to go if the BOSS NUT would consent to it!! What does the majority think about this?? Lets hear it for IAN, THE BOSS MAN!! Gomer | ||

...I was suggesting more of a willful contribution by those that feel it proper , according to there cheapness & ability; not some compulsory fee schedule, which doesn't seem to be boss nuts way. Nice to know I am not the only one on this responsibility page gentlemen ~ Perhaps a boss nut deserves a bus fund or something (if rumors are true). | ||

count me in. even thought I believe it should become a compulsory members fee. standardisation would work better instead of the (pass the plate method) most organised religious institutions employ. |
