Hello, people! I'm searching for a bus to convert! I just don't know what it will be yet! Actually i've been in the planning stage for a couple of years. - been working on floorplans etc. In my search for the 'right bus', I realized that I'm going to have to travel possibly quite a ways to see it. I wish that there was a cell site that had a photo gallery of as many bus styles as possible. I've seen the ones here on BNO, but there are a lot not listed. I may be able to go with a coach, but I can't rule out a transit bus either. If you know of a place to see pictures, etc, please let me know! ~ thanks ~ Mark |

Mark Pictures don't give you a realistic basis for picking out a bus. What you should do is go to one or more bus conversion rallys and look at a few conversions. Most people are happy to show off their buses. MAK is having one next month in Arizona, Escapees is having a get together around the same time (CA, I think), and any of the FMCA rallies have a few bus conversions. I'm sure people can add to this list. Oh, and there are always buses for sale at these places... --Geoff '82 RTS CA |

Back when I was looking for a bus, I went to a 'Bus In' In Urbanna, Virginia. Met some great people there. Very friendly, most of them. All had suggestions, very valuable, on conversions... Was able to tour several motorcoaches. Since, I've been to auctions, met more great people. Joined a group for the bus I decided on. Met more knowledgeable people there. Finally, after pestering these people, I have MY motorcoach (in transition). I've looked at many a website picture. Until you lift the engine compartment door, reviewed service records, crawled (SAFELY) under the bus, (with a bus mechanic) you won't know what to look for and what you ended up with. I think I have been very lucky to travel the path I have. I did my research. Contacted several people. Walked through many a bus yard. My bus was waiting for me just 3000 miles away. Research all you can. Look at all the different buses available for conversion. Surf the net for all the information you can find. Visit some auctions. Make contacts and then get the bus YOU want. Not what someone else tells you to get. You needs are different and also the same as others. Get what makes you happy. I did!
