There is a 1978 prevost for sale here in Reno. I've seen if from the outside but have yet to hear/see it start etc. sign says it runs great. 40'-96" that looks good, still has seats, body looks fine. sign says 1978 prevost LeMirage, 6-speed, around 400K on a rebuilt, don't know what the engine or trans are as I have yet to call the seller. any ideas?? good tires, aluminum rims (I think) still has the restroom and luggage racks. The asking price is $13,500 which sounds a little high to me. Before I even look at this bus I have some questions. I know prevost are used for the top conversions, but does that necessarily make prevost a good bus for conversions, those rounded windows look great but also look like a pain to cover. Can one easily raise the roof or would it even be necessary, I'm 6-0 but some of my family run 6-4. Are prevost air bag or torsion bar suspension and does it make a difference. Right now I'm just curious but any info would help. Again, great site, keep up the great work. nvnenzel in reno. |

I bought a 1989 back in December for $25,000, Prevost shells do generally sell for more and keep their value longer. The rounded windows are easy to cover and I am raising mine 8" along with the dash to bring up the drivers seat. I have the directions to do this, if you get it. It makes for better insulation, cabinets and shower. I am very happy with it. I have fact sheet that has all the places to check for cracks, rust and things. If you have a fax I will send it to you, it is about 22 pages, or mail it if you don't. I live just over the hill from Reno by Sacramento. Let me know if I can help. |
