Hi, y'all!
I'm a newcomer to bus conversions, so please help out the new guy! (Actually, you all have been VERY helpful as I have been at this site many times for the last few months.)
Here is my question: Can anybody out there tell me about 'Orion' busses? As far as transit style busses go, how are they? In other words, are there any negative issues with them? I'm looking at a couple of them and they seem to have what I am looking for in a bus for a conversion.(40x102"), smooth, straight sides with nice RV style windows. The ones that I know about have Detroit Deisel engines and Allison trans. I was told that they are made of stainless steel. what part is actually SS? Is the company still in business? How come I have seen just about every imagineable type and make of bus in the last few months - but haven't come across any Orion conversions? Are there any issues with them? Or are they just a comparatively smaller company with fewer buses to convert?! If any of you reading this can help me out, any and all information would be greatly appreciated!
