this may sound crazy, but exactly where is the tstat housing on a 671,in a 4104? is it centerway of the engine,up on the top, just behind the head?{if you are looking at the engine from behind the bus}and what should the norm op temp be? and how long should it take to reach norm op temp? |

Do you have the Owners Manual? No real point in caring for an"04 without one. If you need one there are a few here who could send you a PDF of it. And yes it sounds like what you are describing is the tstat housing. It takes awhile to reach op temp, and it won't do it idling, you need to drive it. Can't remember off hand what op temp is....but it's in the book. |

Factory was 170 degrees. In horizontal pipe shaped thing at top front of coach side of engine. Thermostat to the left end. Will run on the cool side if not working hard. Shutters will help to keep temp up. |
