O.K. ...this is for the home base not the bus. need battery back-up for sump pump... also plan on eight (8) separate low voltage lighting circuits, separately switched... how about 2 golf cart batteries, in parallel (vented to the outside with a 12 volt muffler fan) and a tricle charger? I would place a 12 volt utility pump 6 inches above my 120 v sump pump in the sump well... yes..no...maybe??? |

Hi Al, If you are using 12V golf cart batteries, then connecting in parallel is correct to double your amperage. If you are using 6V batteries, then you want them in series to double the voltage, resulting in the 12V you want. Craig S |

With the small charger you may be able to delete the vent fan as the batts would outgas very little or none at all because of the low charge rate. Good luck. Henry of CJ |
