Since the seller used the term "sticks and staples", I'm guessing that he is one of us and a little sympathy for his position might be in order. Unfortunately, he put way too much money in an older coach and way too personalized in the design. So, rather than putting the owner down, let it be a lesson to those of you putting tons of money and very personal designs into your older coaches, you will never come remotely close to recovering your investment. I can only hope that Ken got $200,000 worth of pleasure driving it for only 24,000 miles. |

Looks like an expensive lesson to me. I am with Len in wishing him the best, but I am betting he will own that bus for a long time. |

I once picked out a nice neighborhood with plenty of houses with two car garages. There were three different general layouts and I knew that I'd find a great house (I did - still own it). But just down the street, there was a house for sale. The owner had built in furniture in the living room and master bedroom with concrete blocks and "glass bricks" and had covered all this with purple shag carpet and painted the walls purple in most rooms. Beautiful garage; owner's Porsche was parked in it. That was not the house I bought. It stayed on the market for a loooooong time! |

"spared NO expense" Too bad some good sense wasn't used. Where did the $207,000 go ? ? ? paying people to watch? Certainly didn't go for decorating design. If a whorehouse looked like that inside, they could raise their rates just from turning down the lights . . . |

In reading my post I realize that Len is correct. my comment does seen a bit harsh, and I didn't think that perhaps the owner may be a member here. Ken if you are here I apologize for my nightmare remark. and If you would consider $15,000 for it so that it could be gutted, painted, and Barney's remains given a proper burial, I would be a buyer. if not then I will wish you good luck and that you find a buyer so that the comps (our buses) go up in value. |

It really is nicely done, but the color is just not my flavor. One thing I didn't like is I could not tell what kind of coach it was from the picture. I had to read the description to see it was a GM. It just doesn't look GM to me because of the caps. David |

here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320556701913#description No question on the fit and finish, too bad about the colours. Is that perhaps the shifter knob tucked to the left side of the driver's seat? Probably mistaken lock up for a 4th gear. happy coaching! buswarrior |

you know some people like apples then some like oranges and even others like liver or brussel sprouts. One of the greatest things about a bus conversion is that its a one off custom rig. every one is different , no two alike. Each of the builds suited to the builders tastes and preferences. We are never to old to see a new and different way to do things. |

Steve, Agreed, but it is a whole lot easier to sell apples and oranges than liver and brussel sprouts. The point here is not to condemn someone for "doing it his way", but rather to note that the more you deviate from the "norms", the harder it will be to sell. A lot of folks here build to suit their own tastes and have no intention of ever selling. Unfortunately, sometimes life just gets in the way. |

Once again-they think that the V730 is a 4 spd, but it is a 3spd. When the torque converter locks up, it does feel like another gear. This bus looks like a madame from a whore house gone wild. The epitome of bad tase. Good Luck, TomC |

Well everyone has individual taste and this bus happens to be the polar opposite of how I chose to convert my bus. The implication is that the interior was converted 2002 or later but I just don't see it. That conversion sure looks like the 70's to me. |

I think its fair to say that none of us are in this gig to make money, only to make happy people happier. When we want out these things are harder to sell than boats in the desert. |

I'd estimate that it might fetch 20,000 to 30, 000 bucks, if it runs great and looks better inside than the pictures can show. Oh, and if someone likes the color. We really should rename our site as BusNutmoneyhole.com. Anybody that considers a Bus Conversion as an investment is a fool. These are built and/or used for enjoyment or agravation. Take your pick. |

It seems from this series of posts that a lot of bus nuts have a lot of experience with whore houses! It would also appear that good nutrition is somewhat lacking. Whats not to like about liver and brussel sprouts. Perhaps some time in a combat zone eating c-rats would change the collective pallet? I sort of like the coach! John L |

"When we want out(,) these things are harder to sell than boats in the desert." Nice sentiment but not factual... one needs at least 2 co-signers for a boat of ANY sort in Tucson... there is also a BOOMING business here in furnaces AND in selling sand & gravel. Perception, perception perception and people with dreams & wishes. |
