A couple of questions. How much does a 4104 weigh empty? What is it's loaded weight? |

M&C, The above figure is Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (32,000 lbs) the actual empty weight is in the range of 21,000 lbs. The loaded weight is kind of an open ended question because you didn't say what you are loading it with, 32,000 is the weight you should not exceed. If you are asking what a converted 4104 weighs, I'm sure someone with one can answer that. Thanks,Sam |

My converted '04 with tanks full (170 gal water, 140 gal fuel, 28 gal gas, 58 gal propane, gen set, seven 8D's and all our "stuff" for the Winter weighs about 28,000. We have all solid oak interior, cultured marble shower and vanity and lots of "toys". Can't imagine one weighing more than this. BTW this includes a 6V92/V730. HTH. Jim Stacy |

Man Jim, your '04 is fat. Ours with full fuel, 100 gal water (no waste) 27 gal gasoline, 2 20 lb propane tanks, 6.5KW genset, 3 souls on board, 2 8Ds, no tile & marble, but lots of tools, etc. weighs 24,600#. Jim-Bob |

Jim-Bob, When I had it weighed with the 6-71 stick, most other things the same it weighed less than 26K. This was obviously at different times and the personal property load probably varied but I would guess that a lot of the extra weight was the 6V92/V730. Both weighings were done by A'Weigh We Go which gives individual wheel weights. Weight was very evenly distributed. Some other weight difference would be about 560 more pounds of water, 5 more 8Ds, the propane tank is about 250 lbs empty, nearly twice that filled. It just keeps mounting up. Fortunately the 6V92 at 350 hp specs moves the coach easily. Mileage is between 7 and 7 1/2 no matter where we go, Rocky Mountains or TX flatlands. I'm sure a weight reduction plan wouldn't hurt. I carry a lot of "stuff" I never seem to use. Jim Stacy |

I never realized that the 6-92 & auto would weigh a lot more but it makes sense. We have a permanent (horizontal) 60 lb propane tank but I have never filled it. I just use a 20 lb tank & carry a spare. Lots easier to go get gas, plus I use the spare for outside gas cookers etc. We get about 9.75 mpg with the two valve 6-71 & 4 speed stick. 74 mph top speed with 3.55 ratio axle. But as you know, it takes a while to get there. Jim-Bob |
