I fired my rig up for the first time in 6 months..I have to keep my foot on the pedal hard to control the revs...after i get up to 60 psi I can put it to high idel and its perfect...the min I turn high idel off and it hits low...it shuts right down.

any ideas?

Pete, when the filters on one of our 8V71s plugged, the engine wouldn't idle. Might be worth checking.

For what it's worth.

Tom, I found the problem and for now its running and movable. There are 2 butterflies on the govener, with 2 preasure plungers on each butterfly..the low idel plunget goes out and shuts the bus off at about 45 lbs air preasure. I unscreded the plunger and it had low idel enough to move the bus. tho..without that plunger..it wont turn off..lol...but thats another problem :)

I'm taking it to Bernhards bus this week to let them deal with it since I can more it

Thanks again

Pete
