Have no idea how I lost a book mark , but could anyone post a link to the Darris B site with the fantastic RPM vs gear ratio vs tire size computer?

TIA,

FF

That calculator at thebouthilliers is incorrect. It says to use the actual diameter of the tire for calculations. That's fine, but you'll always be off by 1.6-1.7mph from the rolling radius advertised with a tire company. If that doesn't bother you-then great! My 11/R-24.5 tire is 476rpm, times 4.56 rear end, times .88 final drive (V730) equals 1910rpm at 60mph. Easy to do yourself. Good Luck, TomC

Tom -

Even your calc is off a little, 'cause you rounded UP the bevel gear ratio of the V-730. (0.875 actual vs 0.88 used)

" If that doesn't bother you-then great!"

Hehehehehe :-)

To find the actual diameter the drill is a chalk mark, count 10 revolutions and do da math.

OFF by 1 mph is just fine for my mental masturbation.

I also discount the increase in tire diameter from centrifugal force at 75, and the larger diameter when being at Denver , where the gravity is less than Miami!

No, this is not the first time the word "masturbation" has appeared on this web site.

Thought you'd like to know.

Thank you, Fast, for both instances.
