Our family trucking company has been haul a number of load of these poly tanks in the last couple of weeks. I started looking at them and may have found a good option for a water tank. The tanks are made of a linear, high-density polyethylene resin. They are FDA approved. I you search around site you can find valves and fittings and even poly welders. PCO Tanks are what I think would work for a water/black/gray tank: http://www.norwesco.com/Index.cfm?Section=LST&Page=LST12 The local TSC (Tractor Supply Company - http://www.mytscstore.com/) carries the tanks and wants $128 for the 100 gallon tank. They only had one on hand so I hand them order another from another store. Should have it by the weekend. The tanks are really strong. I was able to stand on it with out any trouble. The legs come to a flat spot long the middle of the tank so it should drain out really well. They have a flat spot on the end for mounting fittings but I think I am going to raise the tank up and mount a bulkhead fitting from below to get better drainage. Here is the FAQ that talk about how they are made: http://www.norwesco.com/Index.cfm?Section=LST&Page=LST17 Ron in SD |
