Don't laugh (too much), but I am serious. My windshields, passenger door and driver (clear glass) windows wash and clean well. The rest of the (dark tint Prevost) window will not clean up. There are streaks, not so bad, but are there after soap and water, vinegar and water, and windex. They just don't clean like the clear glass. Is there a cleaner to rid the residue? Vern (in RI)

Also the finest grade steel wool. That is what the car detailers use for water spots. It has to be the super fine grade. Ask a detail shop. Also have used a product called Creme and Clean from Mt. Hood Solutions. It is about the consistancy of tooth paste.

Also use newspaper to dry them not a towel or cloth.

If any of those Prevost windows are sealed with any type of silicone sealant, they will streak & never come clean (the silicone constantly renews the streaks.)

Years ago, when I was just getting out of High School (yes, there were cars then), I went to work for a Dodge dealer starting out detailing used cars. We used a paste made by rubbing a wet rag on a bar of BonAmi and applying this to the glass, let dry and rub off with a clean dry rag. Apparently the BonAmi was just abrasive enough to clean but not scratch. Jack

Anyone seen BonAmi more recently?

I have used their foaming spray can glass cleaner sometime in the last decade, but what about the real deal?

happy coaching!

Per their website, looks like they no longer make the bar soap, but they do still make the powder

Bon Ami (gold can with the chicken)has a mineral abrasive and will not scratch, even works good on eyeglasses. Ajax & comet has a silica abrasive and will scratch, these have ruined many a bathtub and sink
