I need to run a couple of new 12V circuits: 1) for the electronic ignitor on the 3 burner propane stove. 2) add 2 12 volt lights in the bedroom. Both circuits would be runs of 15 - 20 feet. What type and size of wire should I use? The PO used a blue plastic covered cable w/ 3 conductors and just didn't use the green conductor. I'd prefer to use a smaller cable with just two leads. I also need to run a pair of 14 ga. wires to two grounding thermostats up in the coach. Runs could be 15 - 20 feet. What size, type of wire should I use. I know I could run two separate 14 ga. wires, but a two-wire cable might be easier to feed through the various holes and openings. Thanks |

Here is a nice handy chart West Marine publishes giving size based on run length and amps http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/WestAdvisorView?langId=-1&storeId=1115 1&catalogId=10001&page=Marine-Wire |

I'd go down to lowes, etc & buy thermostat wire for the 'stats. I think its about 18 or 22 gage. Can be had in lots of different qtys of conductors. |
