(make that "resurrect"...:-))...about Radiator Fan..."Issues" (July 2009), but the way things are set just could not post to the bottom of the thread.

For the Cummins folks out there, this might be of interest. Old, Old thread here, but wanted to update on the situation:

I contacted name removed (address below, Southwest Cummins to look into the matter for me and he came up with great information and a fan (Horton) that I installed a week ago and is up to, and perhaps beyond, expectations.

Can't say enuf good about name removed and his crew. He went the extra mile and then some and charges very reasonable...for the product...nothing...zippo...nada for the service.

Bottom line, went from a six blade fan to a nine, pitched properly for the configuration and engine I have. Temps now running close to what the coach was when I purchased it 9 nears ago.

Also resolved an ONAN issue for me.

Got a Cummins or ONAN issue?....name removed is the guy to contact!! Be sure to let him know where you heard it. He will be pleased to help!

I have absolutely no connection other than reported here...just very helpful folks! :-)

If the temps are now Ok with loads more air ,great,

the question is how often have you dumped the old antifreez and used the required 2 part cleaner thru the system?

PM is usually far cheaper than modifications .

one of those otr truck fan mfgs make multi blade composite fans in both rotations in various diameters. When I get the time, I'm going to see if i can get one for the 4905. Big improvements in fan blade designs in the last several years with the current low rpm engines. Will need good radiator so you don't suck the rotted fins out.

JWR...Horton has a good website...Down loadable stuff Plenty to choose from.

Mike got all my specs then collaborated with Horton to come up with the "right" fan.
