I am stripping & converting a Mo 15 Eagle [89]. It is equipped with a hydraulic Pump, hyd radiator motor, & a-c condensor motor.I am removing the coach air and need to remove the hyd a-c condenser motor. Now The Questions: When I remove the hyd condenser motor do I need to remove the lines at the pump & block the ports? Or do I connect the two lines together at their ends to allow the oil to flow out and back to the pump? I am afraid that if I just block off the ports that the pressure in the pump will greatly increase & damage the pump & possibly the other motor. What about a short loop lenght of hose at the pump? Also when I remove the lines at the motor how much oil should I expect to have to catch? Would any air that entered the hyd lines damage the system or will it clear itself. Also just forward of the radiator is a filler tube with the rubber-steel plug cap just like the one on the transmission filler tube but there is no dip stick cable attached to it. Should there be one? If so is there anyone out there in bus land that may know how long it should be and where the full mark would show on it? Are they available and where? I have no way of knowing how much hyd oil is in the system. There are a lot of Great & Knowlagable people out there in Bus land that may be able to help answer my Questions. I assure you that it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS arthur-g In The Eagles Nest |
