Well in the next few months the City of Sacramento will build a new Hound Station in Sacramento on Richards Blvd. It is now and has been for-over 40 years on L street downtown but has become a sore spot for the city, which is sad but very true. So they will build a multi-Million dollar facility on the north side of of town for a Temporary home and then decide where will be it's new full time home down the road??? And they all wonder why the governments are having money problems? My wife said after the story, I wonder if thee will be any good Bus parts left behind for our bus and we both laughed! Dave |

Before they tear down the terminal, do yourself a favor and ask if you can have (or buy) any 'hound paraphernalia. Old signs, plaques, schedules, any kind of old stuff that will be highly collectible in your lifetime.. You would be amazed at what gets tossed out..... It's a shame to let it hit the landfill.. |

They are not tearing it down. They will make the building part of the upgrade of that area of town. Because of the people that hung around there it has really gone downhill and has been a sore spot for city for years. Already went down there and tried to get, purchase, or request old stuff and left my info to call me. They pretty much told me they would be taking all the stuff with them? Seems the city doesn't own the property but a landlord does and has for 40 years. Dave |
