Anyone know what the serial numbers for the good and bad 8V92 motors are? That was when they started calling the good ones "Silver". May be all the bad (early) ones have gone by now? Thanks.

Peter.

Geoff, over on the Yahoo RTS bus-nuts group, has posted that info a couple of times over the last year or so. Do a search thru their archives, or find a recent post by Geoff and email him directly.

Note the English spelling of Jeff, Peter?

You don't have to go to Yahoo to find me!

Silvers started production in 1981, any serial number above these would be the updated engine:

6V92: F 83425

8V92: F 73594

Geoff: I've been told that the Silvers "evolved" between '81 and '83 with some refinement going on during that period. Is that true?

Sorry, Geoff, forgot you also frequent this bbs. . . was pretty late and the grey matter was really fogged up!
