The mci at least mine is 24V. There is a fuse
pannel on the out side by the driver, just release
the two screws and lift the pannel door up. Inside
there is another door. same deal but it swings
down. Also a pannel on the drivers side in the
eng. comp.

I have a 76 MCI MC8 and the pannel you talk about is there. There are no fuses in it only brakers. The pannel in the rear also contains brakers in it. An MCI is 24 volts. If the starter button is dead make sure you have it in nutrual. By the way if you want to e-mail me replace apex with vci.

MCIs are 24V, but there is a 12V tap on the electrical panel, below the driver's window. The MCI manual includes schematics which show this point as well as the various relays that control everything.

The 12 volt tap does not always show up in the panel. On mine it doesn't (labeled but is dead). Running a new one (FUSED) is not difficult.
