I want to make a curtain for the window on the door, and a curtain for the driver's window on a MC9. I would rather not have one of the one-piece wrap around kind, just one I can take on and off each night if necessary., one that only covers the window. Has any one made or bought one like this? I thought of velcrol, but I don't see where I can put velcro on around the window.
I also can't find any Sears store that has the 110 stack washer & dryers. Has anyone seen any lately?

I was in Sears a couple of weeks ago looking at the stacked washer/dryers and the salesman had to look up the 120v unit-- it has to be ordered from the warehouse.

I have shades that are velcro’ed on the inside of the windshield. The Velcro runs around the perimeter of the glass. They work great and are much more convenient than the ones that are on the outside of the bus. They are easy to get to, easy to put up or take down and are never wet from the dew or rain.

Having said that, I never use them any more. I installed day/night shades and they are so much better! In addition to being night shades, they work great during the day to block out sunlight and you can still see thru them what is going on outside. They work great also as a sun visor. Especially early in the morning or late in the evening when driving into the sun.

Hi Esthergater,
My wife made a curtain for our door that is easily put up and removed by using spring loaded extension rods. She made the curtain narrower at the top so it fits nicely, she lined it with some blackout material to provide privacy. Looks good and is easy to use.
Thanks Sam Sperbeck

Richard, thank you for the suggestion! How did you attatch the velcro to the inside of the bus window?

Sam, What kind of bus do you have? How did you get the spring loaded extension rod to stay put?
We have an MC9 and I don't see how to get one to stay on the door? What size did you use, and where did you get it?
Thanks, The Mom

Hi Esthergater,
We have a GM 4106. The windows in the door and drivers side are both angled at the front but with the spring extension rods adjusted with fairly strong pressure the rubber ends on the rods hold well. My wife put pockets in the door curtains both top and bottom, with extension rods both top and bottom also, so when the door is opened and closed the curtains stay tight to the window. My wife got the rods at Kmart.
Thanks, Sam Sperbeck

Hi MOM,
I used adhesive backed Velcro on the windshield. It has been up for over ten years and still is on tight. From outside, it just looks like a black band around the perimeter of the windshield and for all intents and purpose is really invisible. It is only 1/2 inch wide so you never notice it.
As I indicated previously, I have not used these for many years, since I put up the day/night shades. In fact I really do not know where they are now.

I have a shelf runnin from side to side and use 2 pull down window shades, which overlap in the middle by a few inches, they also make great sunvisors.

As for material, I read a tip in a magazine recently from someone who said she found the perfect material at a fabric store - Ironing board cover material. The metallic side was placed outward. Haven't tried it myself, but plan to.

We bought the wrap around pleated curtain from Camping World and it works great for our Eagle 10. We cut off the bottom on the drivers side window section because of the steering wheel. It is quick and easy.
