Anyone have a couple of the fluted panels that go between the windows, or one of the large bay doors? |

I do have the fluted panels, but I really don't want to part with any until I know what I'm doing with my exterior. That won't happen until next summer. Keep my info, and if you have no luck, drop me an email (in the profile). We can keep in touch & I'll know more after we get done with winter. Good luck... |

Thanks guys, i appreciate the help. Jamo, i have written down your email and will get in touch in the spring. I go to Texas for the winter and will be leaving the bus here in MN this year, so it is not an urgent situation for me. You have one of the first '04s and i have one of the last. Thomas, thanks for the info on IBP, i will be hanging on to that also. |

Hi Thomas. Thanks for the info! Have you received the doors from ibp yet? If so, how did they look compared to the oem doors? |

So did you just get the outer skins for the bottom from Luke? I may have one door that the framework for it may be bent. Not sure at this point if i can just get by with riviting on new skins. |

Not sure at this point if i can just get by with riviting on new skins. REAL rivets , not Smash , not Pop (even aircraft grade) will look the best. FF |

shavehead rivets seem to be real popular nowadays. I think Blyler Rivet sells them and the shaving tool. |

the ones from ipb look great!!! i bought special heads you hammer lightly into the hole in the rivet and you cant tell the difference. if i didn't know better i would say the panel was s/s not aluminum, but they said it was aluminum.Luke didn't have any doors .. |

Fred or Thomas Can you tell me where to get these rivets that don't leave the hole in the center like the pop rivets do? I need to replace some in the baggage compartments of our coach and don't want the hole, plus the largest size of rivet that my air riveter will take is still smaller diameter than the original MCI used. Thanks for any info Les |

these are pop rivets with the hole. you hammer the mushroom cap into it and then you have no hole about 10 cents apiece. luke has them in stock. |

I have used the 3/16 rivet with the mushroom haed that is driven in for years and have never had a problem. I also use seam type sealant with installing the panels/skin and it does not go anywhere. The profile picture of the 04 was done in 1990 and has yet to give any problem. If 3/16's are too small you can get 1/4 in that when they POP the stem is about flush with the top. Can be filled with seam sealer and sanded and it will stay also. I have used this method also. Some 1/4 rivets don't look at all bad left alone and primer/paint does a lot of filling. Gomer |
