"These are a must IMO"

WHY?

Any heat picked up on these shades will be released into the coach .

The ones mounted outside are a bigger pain to install , but don't heat the coach.

Loving simple, "my way" is simply a few pieces of velcro above the window frame , and depending on what state we are in the fwd privacy screen is the ,

US flag ,

The Confederate Battle flag

The Gadsten Flag

or the Key West Conch Republic flag.

KISS,

We already have the window shades and only need the corners and center pieces I figured that was simple.

I can open and close them when we are in the camper.

If a little heat gets trapped its o/k we have plenty of a/c for camping and we store it in the shade.

I deffinatly like the outside shades. I like the honeycombed ones that you can see out but cant see in I use these too, togeather with the window shades.

FF is right, any inside shade traps the heat between the window and the shade. It does, however prevent direct heat from the sun.

Outside shades are much better, but a pain.

I only do it for the front windshield because I am too lazy to do others!

We use screens on the outside that we purchased from Bill & Brenda Phelan. They are a bt of a hassle to install, but they do keep the interior cooler (always trade-offs). The do keep people from seeing in during the day, but it works just the opposite at night if you have lights on inside the coach, people can see in, but you can't see out. We have interior pull down shades for night privacy.

Since the learning curve is high , these are better purchased.

Being in the boat canvas biz for years our solution was easy....We have 2" cordless Levelor slat type wood blinds on all 11 inside windows...And black mesh on the front windshield and door & drivers windows. ...Keeps us cool in FL. The slats for total privesory at nite....the fabric on the outside is called Phifertex plus or Sunsure plus or Textilene plus,....the last two are being discontinued this year so try to get Phifertex......mounts on snaps and I agree let a pro do it for a great fit..........s

Our former 4104 had fabric screens that snapped on front of coach. Fabric looked liked silver window screen, only fabric instead of metal. Worked nice in daytime and we had snap on curtain fabric for front inside that matched window curtains. The side ones slid back on alum rails with small rollers and could be tied back for travel. Those front outside ones may have been purchased from some vendor in the past, but could be easily copied.
