I'm still lurking around, Bill, but mostly sulking about having sold my MC9 for peanuts, and wishing I had it back. With the price of fuel, I'm surprised anyone can still afford to start their bus, let alone drive it anyplace.... but still, I wish I had it here. Oh well.. Thanks for asking about me. I always figured that when I die, there'll be a line of people a block long, waiting to stick pins into my corpse to make sure I'm really dead! One less pin! Thanks! John | ||

You're right Gomer, once a bus nut, always a bus nut. I had a chance to get an '04, and missed it by a day. The guy died, and the family practically gave it away, not knowing anything about it. I guess it went for a couple grand. It was about 80% converted. Oh well.. Hey Bill.... "one of the great" what's? haha... Yeah, but I've aged some and don't think I can piss anyone off as well anymore... well, not as good as I used to, anyway. I do try though... I really do. But I think I may have mellowed out too much. Like vintage diesel fuel.. I sold that rig right after the cancer surgery four years back... They said I wouldn't be around much over three years... Three to five.... and uhh.. this is year four. So far so good... But no bus. Damn, dontcha' just hate when that happens? I had the outside all set, and the inside stripped. All that blood, sweat and tears, and money... A friend had just finished converting his enough to use, and got sick.... too sick.. and he sold it before he had a chance to really go anyplace in it... Nice MC9, a lil' newer than mine. So my advice to any "newbie", is to use the blasted thing, even as a "steel tent"; use it. Drive it and camp out in it. Enjoy it as you're converting it, because life can have a way of messing up long-range plans.... I'll be lurking around.... maybe I'll think of sumptin' to piss someone off with, who knows..?
