You won't believe this. A couple days ago, I cracked one of the side windows on the Crown. Had a definite vertical crack running from top to bottom.

Then yesterday I noticed that the crack now only ran for about 3 or 4 inches only at the top by the window frame. What gives here?

Can glass self heal? I really know I cracked it all the way down because I was very unhappy at the time and said several un-nice words.

Anyway, this has been driving my crazy, not that I need any help. Any ideas or good reasons for this to happen would be appreciated. Crazy Henry in SW Oregon.

Henry, need a window? Free if you pay shipping, I have lots I'd love to see have homes...

Oh... the crack might have gotten moisture in it which could "invisible-ize" a lot of it...

Well well, have I got egg on my face! Today early (somewhat cool) the crack is only visible for about 3 inches only at the top.

However, come midafternoon with the glass at about 110 F. (neat lazer gun temp gage) the crack runs all the way down the window.

Then at around midnight (kinda cool again-80F) the crack is VISABLE again only at the top. Seems temperature makes the difference. Oh well.

Soosssss, the window crack is there all the time, just the change in temp makes it visible or not. And here I thought I was getting more crazy. :)

Not crazy, just a little cracked or a lot cracked depending upon the time of day....... LOL.

Btw, does a full moon affect it?

Peter.
