I was driving on the one interstate the other day, and had to merge onto another one. All of the sudden my speedo completely quit. It's never caused a problem before. What could be wrong? The speedo has always been steady and accurate.

you didn't say if oringinal equip.or aftermarket. I will assume it is aftermarket. check your left frount brake drum axel area for your pickup could have fallen off or broken wire. Best of luck, bubba

IF the unit is a DIXON there will be a wire from the speedo head that goes down to the front wheel.

ON my coach a replacement cable was routed so the universal joint in the steering could eat the wire.
Bingo , no speedo.

IF the unit is getting juice , try removing the entire shelded cable that goes to the wheel.

You will probably find the damage behind the dash or actually at the wheel.

Have been told Universal has the cable for about $40.00
