I hope i can say what i need without confusing every one I have a 64 4106 that when i got it some one had cut loose all the wires going to the turn signel switch. I have got ever thing put right except the horn wire. I still have oregional steering wheel and I can't figure out how this wire connects to the wheel. (horn button).Can anyone help Please |

one wire to the center button? but the 4106 has a foot operated horn not a steering wheel button. but i could be wrong, |

it has both. The wire to the horn button supplies the ground to the horn assembly, as the hot wire is already connected to it.Touching that ground wire to a metal surface should make it work. that wire goes up through the steering column and connects to a brass contact under the button. The button, when pressed completes a ground connection from the contact to the metal surface around the area where the splined shaft comes up through the steering wheel and is attached with a nut. |

My 06 book shows the horn button grounds a wire that is connected to the Horn Relay , which controls the 12v supply for the horn. The horn itself is grounded at all times the 12V comes from the relay. FF |
