I think you got to add Cavalier and another chevrolet model, and for sure the Alero.
ALSO, the new Saturns CANNOT be towed according to the dealer.

"ALSO, the new Saturns CANNOT be towed according to the dealer."

And the Saturn management is wondering why their sales have tanked!

Someday they will learn when you reduce the percieved value , you reduce the sales.

Saturns will be towable next model year again. Saturn realized they screwed up a big part of their market.

Ya got that right Fred. I have been towing them for a long time, they are simply great tow vehicles. In the first years, the owners manual said specifically NOT to tow them (except for 20 miles at less than 20 miles per hour or some such thing), I had to go to Saturn to see what they changed in later ones. The only thing they changed is the book! At every chance, I encouraged dealers to offer installation of a Blue Ox as part of their dealer service of a new car. All claimed their insurance would kill them as would Saturn company. Notice they never advertised that feature.
Some of the feedback was that since the speedo does NOT register those miles, a car with lets say 200k of towing, with shot wheel bearings, struts, tires, etc, would be elgible for all that new under warranty because of the speedo reading only say 9k miles. I always got the miles guarantee on tires for that same reason.

Don't forget that most Jeeps, except a few Wranglers and ones with Quadra-Trac (unless modified), can be towed whether auto or stick. Also, our 2001 Dakota Crew Cab automatic all wheel drive can be flat towed too.

Most part-time 4x4's can be flat-towed.

I think the "other" Chevy is the Malibu.

Instructions are in the owners manual for my 99 Chevy Tahoe (4X4 with automatic) on proper way to tow four down with no restrictions on speed or having to stop every few hundred miles and run engine.. I have towed it thousands of miles with no adverse affects.

And the switch key in OFF, not in lock, so the steering wheel is free to turn.

Thanks for the great input. My VW Rabbit I bought had been towed wheels down for a ton of miles. No problemo. Thanks again.
