I can still remember where I was, what I was doing, and the silence that came in the room as the announcement was made over the radio. I have a beautiful "t" shirt I wear, from time to time.....who knows, maybe today; it states, "all gave some...some gave all". :-(

Thanx to all who remember!

I knew a man in Tucson who was assigned to Ford Field,
he said that day was the most helpless day he ever experienced and the worst day of his life.
The dreams of it never left him, 50 years later he still woke up in cold sweats screaming.

WAR is hell...
and it should be forever castigated to that place
never again to be seen or experienced on THIS Earth....
to hell with those who start it
those that love it
and to hell with it...!!

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- It's been 69 years Tuesday since the Japanese attacked the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii, drawing the United States into World War II.
The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs holds a remembrance ceremony at the state Veterans Service Building near the Capitol with the Pearl Harbors Survivors Association and the Fort Snelling National Cemetery Memorial Rifle Squad.
There will be a rifle salute. Survivor Richard Thill will also speak briefly.
Thill was stationed aboard the USS Ward, which sunk a Japanese midget submarine while patrolling near the entrance to Pearl Harbor. The shots are considered the first fired by Americans in World War II. The gun that fired on the sub now sits near the Veterans Building on the state Capitol grounds.
