On a different note... I'm trying to find somewhere I can get the windscreen glass for my '53 Flxible... I've tried the usual places with little success... Any ideas?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I hear on the Yahoo Flx board that it may be available from Mexico.

Not as bad as my PD 4103... Mine are unobtanium.
Seriously, speak with Mike hill. He has one of close to that vintage in Lower Tennessee, and may or may not know where to get you what you need.

UNOBTAINIUM....
A prohibitively expensive material
whose mythical properties included those of extreme light weight, strength & rarity
are legendary throughout the Auto Racing community, among many others such as Engineering & Aerospace.
Only one man has been reported to posses any amount whatsoever, Roger Penske & no one
outside of the Penske Racing shops has ever seen this material
or touched it.
It is the material which gives Penske Racing & their cars their notorious "UN-fair Advantage",
a term used by his competitors when referencing the remarkably successful Penske Racing enterprise.
The term was brought out of the Engineering community, where it enjoyed a much broader definition,
& popularized by Roger Penske approximately 1965 during a press interview.
More recently it has found contemporary usage in several Science Fiction films.

Jack... You forgot the most important fact about Unobtanium... It's also a superconductor. ;)

Marvin... I called Curved Glass... They stated they couldn't get them... The ones I did find were insanely priced... About $1300 per side... No way I could spend that kind of cash on glass... I'll use Lexan before I do that. heh...

Matt... Just post here. :-) That way the info gets into the archives... I'm certain I'm not the only one looking for glass for a Flx... :-)

Mac I spoke with Jay, (Mike Hills son) and he said that while not real easy to find they are out there! And that several models share the same glass. Oh and he said sorry but they used the last set they had and the other set drove off the lot in a parts bus they sold to a guy that drove it to Michigan!
